It was during the first snowstorm of the New Year. The color green was something you saw in pictures tacked to the wall or in a memory from what felt like years ago. I was living alone in a studio apartment in a shitty section of west Cleveland. Everything was the same color in that neighborhood, even in the summer.
To say that it was boring was an understatement. I am tired and sick of my own everyday routine that consists of: waking up every morning, taking a shower, having a crappy breakfast with an even crappier coffee, going to work, having lunch, working again, going home, having a crappy dinner, checking some paperwork, showering, and going to sleep.
As you can see, i have little to none time for relaxing, so i decided start from the beginning all over again. Starting from my own place for living. After all, there's a saying that home is a place where you can relax, something that i don't have.
Contrary to popular belief, i have plenty of money. My family was wealthy, and when they died in a car accident, all the money belonged to me. I sold the house, moved to this apartment in this neighborhood and got myself this crappy job. Now that i think about it, i don't even know why i choose to live that way. After i move from that apartment, i've got myself a beautiful, homey-looking house with the color of navy blue. The house is built for four people, with the garden in a good condition. The inner walls are white and the floor is made of wood.
I decorated the house to my liking and got myself a pet. It's a white and orange-ish brown scottish fold kitten that i named Vixen. The house is located in a friendly neighborhood. I got myself a job in the neighborhood's well-known flower shop. It's only a few blocks away from my house, the shift's good, not too busy and the pay is also good.
I made new friends with the people in the neighborhood. Two of them is now my best friends; Allisha, the sophisticated brunette who works in the nearby coffee-shop and Lynn, the feisty red-head who works in the same flower shop with me.
Since then, my life had gone gradually better and more enjoyable. I dated a man named Derek. He had messy black hair and piercing green eyes. He is a promising young architect and a perfect gentleman. Just what i need.
I'm glad i moved out from that apartment.
Nice work, baby. Go ahead on it. Do not forget to post the two previous assignments.
